God Moments
My daughter, Autumn and her family were here to Memorial Day weekend. My son, Nick, had come
down with them from Tennessee. The anticipation for their arrival was intense. I also had my two
granddaughters, Abbie and Bryleigh, at my house. All five of my grandchildren and most of my family
within arms reach! Hugs, Hugs, Hugs and Kisses! My joy was over the moon. However, my middle
son, Robert could not be here. He was preparing to go to Army training for a month. As much joy as I
had for all my family being gathered, I missed him terribly. I wanted him to be part of this great
family reunion.
I think God feels this way when we gather for church or in our fellowships. He knows our love and
returns it with great joy! As much as he loves us, he desires his missing children. He craves their
embrace and love. Sadly, so many don’t even know about God’s great love. His connection to those
lost children is through us! We are called to share God’s love, grace, and mercy. After all, they are our lost
sisters and brothers. How great is God’s love for us to die for us? We need to die to ourselves and live
in Christ to love as God loves.

Ephesians 5:1
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; NASB
Holy Father, Thank you for loving us and inviting us to your bountiful table as your
children.
Open our hearts to find the lost children you have also invited to be in your presence
and know your everlasting love. Give us Holy eyes and hearts to seek and encourage
those we can invite to the heavenly table. Amen
